Asokoro General Hospital Gets Drugs Donation From MIFAA Africa

MIFAA, Medical Initiative for Africa, headquarters a Non-governmental organization that has been involved in health initiatives across the country and beyond. The organization have conducted massive health out reaches in all the Geo- political zones of the country. They have a large following of medical and non medical volunteers, who have over the years contributed in no small measure to the health of communities across Nigeria

MIFAA International secretariat, yesterday donated drugs worth hundreds of thousands of Naira to the Management of Asokoro District Hospital.

The team led by the President, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, included the Vice President, Dr Agbor Ebuta and Director Special projects, Dr Noel Arua, were recieved by The Chairman Medical Advisory Committee Dr Nnabuchi & Head of Pharmacy department, Pharm. Peter Enemarie

Speaking on the occasion,the Vice President Dr Ebuta, stressed the importance of the private sector’s support for Government organizations to facilitate the execution of humanitarian services.

The President, Dr Taiwo re-affirmed MIFAA’s desire to expand the borders of interaction and assured the Management & staff of continued support.

Director Special projects, Dr Arua, poured encomiums on the Management & staff for their excellent commitment to maintaining access to cost efficient,quality medical services, and encourage the management to use the drugs for indigent patients.

The CMAC ADH, also a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Dr Nnabuchi while recieving the items expressed gratitude on the collaborative efforts, while calling on other well-meaning organizations & individuals to emulate MIFAA. On his part, the HOD Pharmaceutical services,Pharm. Peter Enemarie assured MIFAA of judicious use of the medications.

The Aaron team of MIFAA subsequently took a mini tour of the hospital and left with a promise to visit in the near future with more strategic support.
