AMAC Chair Maikalangu Charges Cabinet To Be Creative, Discipline, Diligent

New Abuja Municipal Area Council Chairmen, Christopher Zakka Maikalangu has called on his cabinet to be creative, discipline and diligent in the delivery of service to residents of the council.
Maikalangu made the call while swearing-in the Council’s legislative arm, seven supervisory councillors and seven special advisers in his Area 10, Garki office, last week.
He advised them to work hard so as to prove their “skeptics and naysayers wrong” by being creatively ingenious, exhibiting a high level of maturity, discipline and diligence in the discharge of their duties. “This is so that we can meet up with the enormous expectations from the electorates who desire the best from us”.
Accorsing to Maikalangu, their appointments were based on merits, as they were carefully selected to reflect the six geopolitical zones of the country. He however warned them against any form of discrimination but urged them to to carry everyone along, be focused, upright and fair to all.
He emphasized that his administration was an all-inclusive one that would work in conformity with his campaign slogan which is: “We are Greater Together”.
In another development, immediate past AMAC Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu Candido has revealed his fears ahead of the 2023 general elections.
While in a chat with some members of AMAC Press Corps who paid him a visit, Candido expressed fears over what he described as “voting revolution” that would be peaceful and likely sweep the ruling party out of power.
The outspoken ex-AMAC boss based his speculation on the eagerness by Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards to enable them make desired changes.
Candido who professed unflinching love for his All Progressives Congress party, however warned that unless the people’s will was allowed to prevail, imposition would surely jeopardise its chances come 2023.
