Fani-Kayode Says Kingibe’s Wife’s Election as FCT Senator is a Security Risk
The Director of Digital Media of the defunct All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that the emergence of Mrs Ireti Kingibe as the senator to represent the Federal Capital Territory will be a security risk to the country.
Fani-Kayode stated this in a statement he posted online saying that Mrs. Kingibe was rigged into victory just as he said that the rigging tactics would be exposed at the election petition tribunal.
NPO Reports that Mrs. Kingibe won the election during the last national assembly polls defeating the incumbent, Phillip Aduda and the APC candidate, Hon. Zakari Dobi.
Fani-Kayode stated, “The most blatant rigging that took place in the last elections was the Senatorial election in the FCT.”
He said that he had lived in Abuja for 22 years adding “to say that Ireti Kingibe, the Labour Party candidate, won the election is a joke. All will be exposed at the election tribunal and justice shall prevail.”
He went further accusing loyalists of the Labour Party of constantly seeking to demean, ridicule and undermine the indigenous Gbagyi population.
