The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal medical facilities as the Private Health Establishments Registration and Monitoring Committee (PHERMC) sealed Dada’s Clinic & Maternity in Kapwa, Gaube Community, Kuje Area Council.
The facility, which was operating without registration, was shut down following reports of unsafe medical practices that allegedly led to the death of a community elder.
This action aligns with FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike’s declaration of zero tolerance for unlicensed health facilities in the nation’s capital.According to the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka, the facility’s operator, Mr. Sabiu, who identified himself as a health worker, has been arrested and handed over to the police at Kuje Police Station for further investigation.
