
Abuja Municipal Area Council Chief Executive Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu on Monday visited the Gwarinpa victims at Abuja National Hospital who were attacked and seriously injured during the recent crisis in the Gwarimpa area.

Speaking at Abuja National Hospital, Mailkalangu, who was represented by the Secretary of the Council, Hon. Jafaru Gwagwa, described the incident as unfortunate and prayed for a speedy recovery for the victims.

He added that the gesture is part of the council’s solidarity with the victims affected and is also intended to reduce treatment costs and hospital bills.

Maikalangu also gave away vouchers to other patients in the hospital’s operating room to ease their bills. Other Council staff who accompanied the Council Secretary on behalf of the Chairman include: Councilor representing Gwarimpa District, Hon. Shekwoya Danlami The Supervising Counselor of Health, Hon. Faoye Tunji, Senior Special Assistant for Media and Public Affairs, Kingsley Madaki, Hon. John Saminaka and the head of the Department of Health, Dr. Modupe Adeyinka.
