
Hakeem Muri-Okunola Resigns as Lagos Head of Service, and Radiates Positivity with New Role in Presidency
Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the Head of Service for Lagos State, has tendered his resignation from the position. He will now be focusing on his new appointment as President Bola Tinubu’s Principal Secretary.
In a letter addressed to state civil servants, Muri-Okunola announced that his civil service career would conclude on September 29, 2023. He has already informed the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, of his decision to resign.

In his letter, Muri-Okunola expressed his gratitude for the fulfilling journey and experience he had while serving as Head of Service. He emphasized his deep respect and admiration for President Bola Tinubu, who inspired him to enter public service, ultimately leading to his appointment as Head of Service.
Muri-Okunola stated, “I move on to serve the man who inspired and brought me into public service and to take it as a career that eventually took me to the zenith as your Head Of Service. I will be taking on a new role in The Presidency to assist and contribute my quota in achieving The Renewed Hope agenda of our President Bola Tinubu.”
