Ramadan: Senator Aduda Urges Muslims To Pray For Peace, Unity

By Sadiq Abubakar, Abuja. Senator Philip Aduda representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has called on Muslims to use the Ramadan period to pray for peace and unity of the country. Senator Aduda, who made the call in a statement he personally signed to felicitate entire Muslims across the FCT on the beginning of Ramadan fasting on Saturday, also urged the Muslims to pray for the country to overcome its security challenges. He said the Ramadan fasting also entails a lot of sacrifices, which he said is not only total abstinence from food but other indulgences. According to him, the Muslims should also take advantage of the holy month of Ramadan to forgive each other irrespective of tribe, ethnic or religious background that such person may belong, saying the period of Ramadan has a lot of blessings in it.He added that, the month of Ramadan comes with a lot of blessings and therefore, called on Muslims to observe the Ramadan fasting in accordance with Islamic injunctions. Senator Aduda, reiterated his commitment towards providing more democratic dividends to the good people of the FCT, especially in the area of infrastructural and human development across the 62 political wards of the territory.
